This year's SEMA was extra special for us at Seibon Carbon, as we proudly celebrated our 20th year in the industry. Two decades of relentless pursuit of excellence, innovation, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
For those who might not be familiar, the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. Held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada, it draws thousands of exhibitors and attendees from all corners of the globe. It's a playground for automotive enthusiasts, where the latest trends, technologies, and innovations are showcased.
For 20 years, we've been dedicated to delivering top-notch products and unparalleled customer service. As we celebrated our 20th year in the industry, we were determined to make a splash like never before. And boy, did we deliver! Our booth was a spectacle of innovation and craftsmanship, featuring a lineup of carbon fiber parts that left enthusiasts breathless.
One of the highlights of our showcase at SEMA 2023 was the unveiling of our latest carbon fiber parts lineup for three iconic vehicles: the Nissan Z, Honda Civic Type R, and GR Corolla. Each vehicle was carefully chosen to represent different segments of the automotive market, and our carbon fiber enhancements took them to new heights of performance and style.

We are proud to partner up with Rays Wheels, Falken Tires, Cobb Tuning and, RS-R to bring a new look to our WRX STI Type RA.
It always makes a good story when we collaborate with Super Street on a new project. Recently SS published a two part story about their project Taco and we were delighted to be a part of it. You can find it on their website, but for now we are going to focus on our end of it: carbon fiber.
It wasn't till recently that the overland scene become a big deal in the automotive community. You have your OGs that have been doing it for years. You have your new comers that recently bought a truck or an SUV to take on the trails. We noticed a trend: someone who has had an S2000 needed to upgrade to something bigger. Those that have upgraded still had the mod bug in their system. They had TEs on their S2000, now they have them on their overland build. These same customers wanted more carbon fiber options for their off-road machines, and that is where we come in.
SS Project Taco stopped by our HQ for a hood and fender flare install. Both installs are fairly simple. If you're running aftermarket bumpers, some trimming to the fender flares may be required.
The weight of the OEM hood is 44 lbs, the weight of the Seibon Carbon TR-Style Carbon Fiber Hood is only 27.4 lbs.
The build has been kept low key this whole time and not a lot of images or posts hit the web. Project Taco made its debut at SEMA 2019 in the Seibon Carbon booth. This was the ideal build to display our new products for the 2016-2019 Toyota Tacoma.
A few weeks after SEMA, SS took the Tacoma out for a shoot and invited us along to generate some content. This was the proper environment for a build like this. Dirt roads and mud, just the tip of the off-road iceberg.

It's that time of year again. Time to follow up on our latest news from the SEMA Show and tell you what we had in store.
For anyone unfamiliar, the SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world segmented into 12 sections with over 2,400 exhibitors and a New Product Showcase featuring nearly 3,000 newly introduced parts, tools and components.
The SEMA Show draws the industry's brightest minds, hottest products and over 70,000 domestic and international buyers to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, the SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and more.
We like to use SEMA as an opportunity to display our latest products and connect with our dealers/customers. SEMA is a trade only show but still brings in thousands of people from all over the world.

Everyone would agree that the A90 Supra was the "Car of SEMA 2019". It's believed there were over 70 Mk5 Supras at the show and everyone had something new to show. That includes us as well, here are all the new products we showcased at SEMA 2019 for the 2020 Toyota Supra:

2017 INFINITI Q60
We have always felt like the Q60 is a good mix of luxury and performance. Our TSII-Style carbon fiber hood as been out for a few weeks already, but everything else on the car is new Here are the new products that we released for the 2017-2020 Infiniti Q60:
2018 Volkswagen GTI
Volkswagen's hot hatch has always been a hit in the aftermarket scene. Seibon has been making parts for the past couple of generations going back to the MK4. Our carbon fiber hoods have been available since the MK7 has been out, but with the recent MK7.5 update, we decided to update our line as well. Here are the new products we released for the MK7.5 GTI:
2019 Toyota Tacoma
The off-road scene is constantly growing. We are seeing more and more import owners buying a truck for the family. We wanted to keep their modifying hobbies alive by dipping our toes in the truck/SUV market. Our TR-Style carbon fiber hood has been available for a few months now, there were a number of Tacomas at SEMA rocking it. Here are the new products we released for the 2019 Toyota Tacoma:

The rain didn't keep us away. Wicked Big Meet 2019 brought out some of the best Subarus on the East Coast. Seibon had a great time at the event chatting with Subaru owners, carbon fiber enthusiasts, and show spectators. A BIG thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth at the event. Subaru Tecnica International brought our some really cool and rare cars. Most of these cars we have only seen in magazines or in video games. The STI name runs deep with heritage and racing history, one of our favorite things about this show is being able to see these JDM legends up close.
We also had march on display for sale. From t-shirts, hats, stickers, and even our new trim removal kit.

This past weekend we held our first Type R Meet. Before we get into it, we want to thank every single person that made time and checked out the event. We also want to say a big thank you to our food trucks ( I Love Funnel Cakes, Funky Chef Cafe, and Chu Thong Coffee) that came out that morning.
The idea we had behind this was to bring Type R owners together for a nice, relaxing event. We didn't want anything crazy. It wasn't a show, no trophies, just an event for car enthusiasts. Our meet was an open invite, meaning it wasn't only for Type R owners, but for everyone. And that's exactly how it went. We thank everyone who respected our rules and our property.
So how many Type Rs showed up? Well, we had a few DC2s and a lot of FK8s. We believe in total there was around 35 Fk8s, but in the photo above, there are 30. Much more than we expected. It was great to see shop owners, big companies and car owners socializing and discussing the Type R . This is exactly what we had in mind for our meet.
We we're also very happy to see other cars come out. We didn't want this to be only for Type Rs, we wanted this to be for car enthusiasts. No matter what you drive, or what you like, we wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed the event.
To thank everyone that came out, we held a raffle towards the end of the event. Prizes included: Seibon t-shirts, hoodies, hood props, license plate frames, and a grand prize of our carbon fiber backpack.

The event featured a lot of different activities including a judged car show, dance competition, 2-step competition, and many more! Seibon Carbon 2015 Subaru STI at SEMA 2015. Featuring Seibon's CW-style hood, C-style trunk, MB3-style front lip, MB-style side skirts, MB-style rear lip, and Beat Sonic/Seibon Carbon roof fin spoiler.
Anyone who has really built a car will tell you that it's easier said than done, especially when there is a deadline involved.
There’s something about deadlines that encourages the universe to throw “wrenches” your way. That’s exactly what happened with Seibon Carbon’s SEMA Subaru STI.
Before getting into the details on how the universe tried to conspire against our build, let’s talk about the build.

Snail Performance’s STI is in no way a trailer queen! This build enjoys plenty of track days and was built and tuned by Snail Performance. These guys work on GTRs, Porsches, and Subarus on a daily basis.
The goal for SEMA was simple: to revamp the STI while maintaining its functionality for the track. Believe it or not, SP drove the STI out from SEMA and straight to the track!
Introducing Carbon Roof Fin Spoiler
The first order of business was to wrap the STI with Intense Blue Avery wrap. This color was chosen for obvious reasons.
In terms of carbon fiber, the STI received the Seibon Carbon treatment: hood, trunk, front lip, side skirts, rear lip, and roof fin spoiler. SEMA 2015 was the first time the public was introduced to our CW-style hood, integrated duckbill C-style trunk, MB3 front lip, MB side skirts, and MB rear lip. Also introduced at the show, the Beat Sonic/Seibon Carbon roof fin spoiler. The fin spoiler was a special collaboration piece with Beat Sonic and is only available through them.

The C-style trunk lid is not a style we usually offer for Subarus. This year we decided to make the STI’s trunk a little more aggressive. The feedback Seibon Carbon received was exceptional!

Also on the exterior, Rays/Volk Racing ZE40s in Matte Blue Gunmetal accompanied by Yokohama’s ADVAN Neova tires. This combination allows the STI to maintain driving control on and off the track.
On the interior, Razo/Carmate’s competition RP123 MT Super Grip pedal set, black 46g shift knob, and wide mirror.
Not everything was smooth sailing at SEMA. One of our show pieces was damaged while in transit to the show! Luckily, and with the help from the crew at Mothers Cleaning Supplies, we were able to restore the roof fin spoiler to its intended glory!
The crew from Mothers Cleaning Supplies helps us repair a damaged show piece! It’s true what they say-- “not all heroes wear capes”.

Seibon Carbon took SEMA 2015 as an opportunity to display its highly anticipated carbon fiber upgrades for the 2015/2016 Subaru STI, Lamborghini Huracan, and BMW M4.
Once a year Sin City welcomes some of the most talked about builds in the world for what is known as the SEMA Show. For four days the Las Vegas Convention Center features never seen before products and builds. When it comes to SEMA, Seibon Carbon fans know we don’t do conservative—it’s just not us!
We’ll go more in depth with each build on our future posts. For now, let’s get to it!
Subaru fans, we have you covered! Our booth featured Snail Performance’s 2015 Subaru STI. No trailer queen here; this STI is built for track. With that in mind, it was only appropriate for us to help the STI shed some weight with our carbon fiber CW-style hood and C-style trunk lid. Other aerodynamic upgrades included carbon fiber MB-style front lip, MB-style side skirts, MB-style rear lip, and roof fin spoiler.
It wouldn’t be SEMA if we didn’t feature a supercar in our booth. This year we featured a Lamborghini Huracan upgraded with a Seibon Carbon dry carbon front lip, side skirts, and rear diffuser. The Huracan’s matte black paint along with our dry carbon lipkit was definitely a show favorite.
For all of our Euro fans, a Yas Marina Blue painted BMW M4. The ultimate driving machine’s carbon fiber upgrades included a Seibon Carbon three-piece carbon fiber front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. To complete the M4's luxurious and sleek exterior, a set of PUR 4OUR Wheels.
By now you may have noticed a few items in the background. SEMA attendees got a sneak peek at Seibon Carbon’s carbon fiber shell backpacks, chairs, FRS/BRZ strut bar, 2015 Civic trunk, and Ford Focus RS-style hood—all of which will be available soon!
