PASMAG Feature: Labor of Love--Lauren Hansell and Eric Bungo’s 2002 Civic Si

Lauren Hansell and Eric Bungo met through of their passion for modifying cars. Fast forward to today and after ten years of marriage, Lauren and Eric’s relationship has survived some of the toughest times because of this passion!
In the mid-2000s, around the same time that the economy took a turn for the worst, their relationship became a little “rocky” and modifying cars was left in the back burner. When the economy started to brighten up, Lauren and Eric made the decision to get back into modifying cars. They opted for a 2002 Honda Civic (EP3) as a project car.

Why an EP3? “The EP3 is one of the least loved Hondas and we were ready to take on the challenge of making this style Honda a showstopper,” explains Hansell. “We wanted to prove to ourselves that we could keep a Civic clean and refined, while still being original and making an impression in the industry against the thousands of other Civics that have come before us.”
