Formula D: Another Podium Finish for Seibon Driver Chris Forsberg

Round 3 turned out to be a bitter-sweet event for Seibon Carbon driver and two-time Formula D Champion Chris Forsberg.
The event started like any other event; a few practice runs and then qualifying. Forsberg scored 83 points during qualifying, securing his place for Saturday’s competition.

Competition day was going well with Forsberg conquering each of his opponents: Geoff Stoneback (Top 32), Tyler McQuarrie (Top 16), Vaughn Gittin Jr.(8), and Ken Gushi (Top 4). From left to right: Chris Forsberg, 2nd place, Ryan Tuerck, 1st, and Ken Gushi, 3rd.
During that same run, Forsberg’s 370z caught on fire, forcing Forsberg to utilize his fire suppression system. Forsberg was awarded the victory as result of Gushi’s zero and was to face Ryan Tuerck for the Final Battle.
Unfortunately, Forsberg was but unable to continue through the competition due to the complications with his car, giving Tuerck an automatic 1st place finish while Forsberg took 2nd. It was bitter-sweet to reach the podium but not being able to battle for 1st place.
